HIV Diagnosis and Treatment

HIV care focuses on helping people with HIV live long, healthy, and full lives. With early diagnosis, modern treatments, and regular medical follow-up, HIV can be well-controlled, allowing the immune system to stay strong and preventing the virus from spreading to others.

Secondary Prevention

Secondary effects of untreated or poorly treated HIV infection can include neurological issues like memory loss and confusion, opportunistic infections such as pneumonia and tuberculosis, and chronic conditions like cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, and certain cancers. Even people with well-controlled HIV may have a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, liver disease, and certain cancers (lung, anal, and liver), as well as chronic conditions like diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Let us help manage and potentially decrease this risk.
